Drinking and driving has become one of the major causes of death on South African roads and Outsurance has created a product where their clients are given an option of not driving while under the influence.

‘Buddy@OUT’ is a chauffer service offered by Outsurance, where members are provided with transport and their own personal driver to avoid drinking and driving.

The Outsurance clients are driven in their own car that insured with Outsurance by the ‘Buddy@OUT’ diver and dropped at their own home. The driver is picked up by a staff member.

Buddy@OUT is subsidised for OUTsurance insurance holders and are offered a 70% discount on their monthly subscription fee, reducing it to just R20 a month. The usual rate-per-kilometer for trips will apply, but it is still cheaper than standard taxi fares, they can also only sign up for just the months they require it.
